We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant to join our internal finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to our financial operations and grow within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
• Reconcile bank statements and maintain general ledger accounts
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar accounting role
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero or Sage) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of Australian accounting standards and regulations
